Even though her comeback has been a long time coming, Britney Spears has been back on the stage performing. Britney made headlines for all the right reasons when she performed two sold out shows at the House of Blues in West Hollywood this week, and on Thursday night, Britney capped off her mini-tour with a third and final performance at the West Hollywood establishment.
While 2007 has seen Britney Spears make headlines with her erratic behavior and her multiple trips to rehab, Spears is back performing her music. For her third and final engagement at the House of Blues, Britney Spears put on a show not unlike the other two 15-minute performances that surprised the world this week. Britney Spears' third concert since becoming pregnant with her first child, Sean Preston Federline, was much like her other two: the show lasted around 15 minutes in total, Britney Spears lip-synched her way through the show, and Spears donned a mini-skirt, pink bikini top and while furry jacket. One notable difference came in the form of Britney's hair (or lack thereof), when Spears traded in her long, dark wig for a short, bobbed black wig.
While Britney Spears danced and smiled her way through the 15-minute show at the House of Blues, Spears wasn't the only big name making headlines at the show. Fellow rehabbed singer Lindsay Lohan was in attendance, taking a table in the Foundation Room/VIP section. While Lindsay Lohan was at the House of Blues to take in the Britney Spears performance with an unidentified female friend, the Olsen Twins, Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, also decided to check out the Britney Spears comeback mini-tour. Not to be outdone, reggae musician Sean Paul made an appearance, and according to MSNBC's Access Hollywood, Britney Spears appeared to be smiling at Sean Paul throughout her 15-minute performance.
Security was tight at the House of Blues at Britney Spears tried to get back into the performing aspect of her career. Perhaps because of the presence of Lindsay Lohan, Mary Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen and Sean Paul, security guards were quick to block the view of anybody attempting to use their cameras or cell phones in the establishment. Despite the $125 ticket price to see Britney Spears in concert for the first time in a long time, fans were unable to snap pics of the "Toxic" singer during her show. After the 15-minute performance was over, Britney Spears thanked the fans and left the stage, and would not re-appear for the rest of the night. Lindsay Lohan, who quickly became the center of attention once Britney Spears had finished performing, was nice enough to say "hi" to the fans waving at her, before she too made a hasty retreat from the club.
Though Britney Spears may not have blown audiences away with her $125-per-ticket, 15-minute concerts, Spears has definitely pointed her career in the right direction. Headlines surrounding Spears now focus on her music and her comeback, rather than on her divorce from Kevin Federline, her trip to the Promises rehab facility in Malibu, California, or her bizarre behavior that saw Spears shave her own head bald. According to an Access Hollywood poll, it seems fans of Britney Spears expect to her to make a full comeback. 72 percent of those surveyed felt the Britney Spears comeback would be a success. However, 64 percent of those surveyed felt that the $125 ticket price to see Britney Spears for 15 minutes was too much. So, as long as Britney Spears can release her new album, and perhaps lower the ticket price for her concerts while increasing the length of her shows, the former pop diva may be able to once again find herself on top of the music world.
