There's more to virtual life than just eating, working, sleeping and dancing the night away. "The Sims 2" PC game now has an expansion pack, "The Sims 2: Bon Voyage," which takes you on vacation.
"The Sims 2: Bon Voyage" builds on the virtual life simulation game published by Electronic Arts and developed by Maxis.

acters called sims through various life choices. The characters have all the talents, motivations and vices of regular people - but the fun is in seeing what mischief sims get in and out of.
You can either choose from existing sims or create your own, with loads of features to toggle. It's not a stretch to say you can make just about anyone.
As with other expansions before "Bon Voyage," rated T for teen, such as "The Sims 2: Nightlife" and "The Sims 2: Open for Business," gamers can unravel a whole new set of things to do and have their sims purchase or find trinkets to bring home and show their friends.

Type in "the sims 2 downloads" on google and you'll come up with all kinds of custom content that is available for free. Taking a sim-vacation couldn't be easier.
Gamers simply have their sim click on a phone and book that vacation they've earned - there are plenty of options to tinker with such as how long you'd like the vacation to be, when your sim leaves and who they'd like to invite to go with them.
Once you arrive at your selected slice of paradise you can choose a hotel and get down to vacation fun.
In "Bon Voyage" you can send your sims away for vacations to the Far East at Takemizu Village, a mountain retreat at Three Lakes or an island-beach setting at Twikkii Island, each with its own ambience and activities.
"Bon Voyage" is perfect for your sim if she's just earned a whopping promotion, or maybe you want to take the kids off to a tropical beach setting, or maybe your sim has been reading a great deal and would like to visit a distant locale such as the Far East.
They can easily do all that and more.
Just a small warning: booking an exciting vacation can be expensive, so make sure your sims have enough simoleons - the game's currency - socked away for the big event unless they've hit the mother lode earlier in their sim-life.
More advanced gamers can purchase a dwelling at one of the locations or build a custom vacation home, and this feature alone can be a game in itself.
"The Sims 2: Bon Voyage" takes the sims formula and gives gamers more.
I also loved the fact that my sims could meet new friends in far-off places and share time together with favourite friends.
Plus there are new animations that gamers will get a kick out of including. And no sims game would be complete without the hilarious "simlish" that the characters speak even while on vacation.
Owners of "The Sims 2" will love this new expansion pack - even if it's a bit pricey for an add-on - for all the neat stuff there is to check out and explore.
