Here is what our film is about. I was stuck inside the confines of my own
brain and Susan was having a hard time linking her life and her artwork.
I was obsessed with sending messages to attractive girls online hoping for any
kind of a response. I never got any... until Susan. She said she was sick of
online dating and I should stop by the restaurant where she works to see if
there was an attraction.
I decided she was basically aksing me to stalk her. So I did, and I sent photos
of her journey home from work to her email. Rather then calling the cops, she
was flattered. I was stocked.
We wanted to keep things interesting so we made a rule that we wouldn't speak in
person but instead would only communicate through other mediums -writing on a
note pad, instant messaging, sending texts, making videos - and our relationship
even progressed to having sex while still having never spoken a word.
For once I was in a real connection with another human being. And because our
interactions were based on creativity, Susan was brought out of her artistic
rut. We became the solution to each others' problems. But achieving true inimacy
unearthed a slew of deeper problems we were forced to confront.
And now, feeling like we have survived so much, we want to be together, we want
to be in a love, we want this emotional connection to continue and to create are
we can share with the world, but not if it turns us into a monster.
